Switzerland Fairy Tales are True
In May, Dave and I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a sweet intimate destination wedding in Tuscany. Since we'd already adventured around Italy a few years ago, he convinced me that we should travel through Switzerland instead after the wedding. Italy is my first love and I will confess I am a bit bummed we didn't spend more time there but Switzerland definitely packed a punch!
Lugano was our very first stop on our Swiss tour. We pulled into town on the train from Milan and made our way up the hill to the Hotel Montarina which we had booked per Sarah's recommendation. Because it was a vacation season in Switzerland, they were full but they gave us a room at the neighboring Continental Park Hotel. We didn't mind, the rooms were clean, modern and there was even a pool there. We, of course, did not spend much time in the room as we were anxious to see the sights. To me, out of all of our travels through Switzerland, Lugano felt the most like home. Lots of water, boats, and expensive things, much like Palm Beach. During our time there we rode the funicolare (cable car) up to Monte San Salvatore, took a river cruise to Gandria, and mainly just strolled around the lake eating gelato. If you are planning a Swiss honeymoon or vacation I would say you should spend at least one full day enjoying this lakeside village. I shot these on my Contax 645 with Portra 160 & Fuji 400H. Ed & Janna's Outer Banks North Carolina Engagement Session
I do my best to post things in order of occurrence but I broke the rules a little and posted this Outer Banks North Carolina wedding earlier this week. So today we go back in time and continue Ed & Janna week with their seaside engagement session. Enjoy!!
The Horses of The Outer Banks
I figured I would finish up the OBX blog week with some snapshots of the horses that roam the beaches there. I snuck a few images into the wedding and engagement posts but there were a few left over that I really wanted to share. So without further ado, The Horses of The Outer Banks. Fine Art Prints Available.
Ed & Janna's Outer Banks Wedding
Weddings like these make it hard to believe this is my job. The honor of being one very few people invited to witness something as intimate and beautiful as marriage vows is something I will never take lightly. Ed & Janna gave their lives to each other on a beach in The Outer Banks of North Carolina with only their closest family members beside them and I was there to photograph it. There really are no words. Just thankfulness.
Organic Farm-to-Table Inspired Engagement Party in Nashville
Its no secret that I am a total foodie with a huge crush on Nashville. So on my last trip up my dear friend Jessica Sloane and I had the opportunity to collaborate on something right up our alleys, a Farm to Table Inspired Engagement Dinner. We had an absolute blast putting it together and to my delight, it is featured today on one of my all-time favorite blogs, Snippet & Ink. So click on over there and check it out, there's even a behind-the-scenes video!
As seen on...
I have been meaning to put this post together for a while now and decided today was the day. It has been a great 2012 so far! I have had the opportunity to travel to some truly incredible places to shoot things that would make anyone's heart pitter patter. Thankfully some of that work has been featured by various wedding magazines and blogs. So naturally I am pretty proud to share that with you!
Justin & Shannon's Jupiter Beach Engagement
Jared & Natalie's Jupiter Wedding
You may remember this gorgeous couple from their adorable houseboat engagement session. They are naturals in front of the camera and I think I could photograph them every single day and love it. Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding.
