Art & Boudoir

As artist, we should constantly challenge ourselves creatively.  Lately, I have been pushing myself to photograph things I wouldn't normally. One of those things has been boudoir-type imagery.I confess, I am not entirely new to it. I have shot a handful of "boudoir" sessions but I never shared them out of consideration for the girls and uncertainty as to how that fit into my business. I hate the word "boudoir" and the connotations it carries. But the art of boudoir, like any art, is subjective. It can be sweet, tender and completely innocent. It is those qualities that have convinced me to make this kind of imagery part of what I do as a photographer. It won't be something you see here regularly as I will always prioritize client privacy. However, I would love for you to see boudoir the way I see it so I will be posting a series of shoots I was fortunate enough to work with models on. Starting with this one, from my very own guest bedroom.
